Officials Announced for 2019 CP Palm Beach Masters Winter Classic CSI 4*-W Presented by Suncast®




Wellington, Florida – January 8, 2019 – The Palm Beach Masters Series has announced its list of Officials for the 2019 CP Palm Beach Masters Winter Classic CSI4*-W Presented by Suncast®. The first in a trio of prestigious show jumping events at the world-class Deeridge Farms in Wellington, Florida, the competition, which takes place Jan. 31 – Feb. 3, will feature the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Wellington , the penultimate east coast qualifier for the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup Final in Gothenburg, Sweden.

A highly-regarded team of Officials has been assembled for the international event. President of the Ground Jury will be Hendrik Nijenhuis (USA), an FEI 3* Judge. He will be joined by fellow FEI 3* Judges Leslie Brown (USA) Philip Rozon (Canada), and Pepe Gamarra (Bolivia), as well as Kevin Giblin (USA) an FEI 2* Judge. The Foreign Judge will be Susanne Macken (Ireland), an FEI 4* Judge.

Dan Reed has been named the FEI Chief Steward, and assistant Stewards Kate Horgan, Debbie Sands, Stephanie Wheeler, Julie Karpen and Allana Featherstone will join him. The USEF Steward is Mary Choate, the FEI Veterinary Delegate is Dr. Scott Swerdlin and the Night Steward is Travis Page.

CP Palm Beach Masters Winter Classic CSI4*-W Presented by Suncast®, featuring the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Wellington

January 30–February 3

The CP Palm Beach Masters Winter Classic CSI4*-W Presented by Suncast® will showcase exhilarating competition from start to finish. The week’s featured event is the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Wellington , one of the final two East Coast qualifiers in the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ North American League (NAL). Many of the sport’s biggest names will vie for top prize money and a chance to qualify for the 2019 Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Final in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ of the United States of America

February 14–17

The Palm Beach Masters Series has been selected to host the 2019 CSIO5* Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ of the United States of America , the only qualifier in the U.S. for the 2019 Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup ™ Final, which brings together the top qualifying teams from around the world. Celebrating its 110th year in 2019, the Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup ™ will be hosted annually at Deeridge Farms through 2021. Deeridge Farms’ Nations Cup week will also include FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ Youth competition for Young Riders, Juniors, and Children, showcasing the next generation of elite show jumping talent.

Deeridge Derby

February 28–March 3

Returning for its third year is the Deeridge Derby , a USEF nationally rated show where the nation’s most elegant show hunters take will center stage. They’ll compete in prestigious classes, highlighted by the highly competitive $50,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby .

The Showgrounds at Deeridge Farms

Events are hosted at the spectacular Deeridge Farms, situated in the heart of North American equestrian sport in Wellington, Florida. Award-winning landscaping surrounds the custom-built show grounds and the facilities that host the series, which include two masterfully-created competition arenas – a Grand Prix turf arena and an all-weather sand arena. Additionally, there are two Bermuda grass schooling arenas—one designated for FEI and the other for non-FEI competitors—along with an all-weather schooling arena adjacent to the competition arena and another located near the stables. New in 2019, the grounds will feature a boardwalk lining the sand ring, which will feature boutique shopping and a restaurant open to the public.

VIP Experience

The best viewing for the exciting 2019 Palm Beach Masters Series is from the Berkshire Bank VIP Club, an exquisite two-story venue for watching the top-level competition in either competition arena.
