Wellington, Florida – January 30, 2019 – Accomplished equestrian photographer Kathy Russell and her own Kathy Russell Photography will be returning as the official photographer of the 2019 Palm Beach Masters Series®, hosted at Deeridge Farms in Wellington, Fla.
The 2019 Palm Beach Masters Series® features three world-class events: the CP Palm Beach Masters Winter Classic CSI4*-W Presented by Suncast, featuring the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Wellington, January 30–February 3; the CSIO5* Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ of the United States of America, February 14–17; and the Deeridge Derby, February 28–March 3.
“I am so excited about this year’s Palm Beach Masters Series ® ,” Russell said. “We are hosting some of the best events anywhere in the world, and it is an honor for me to be part of the Organizing Committee. I am also thrilled to be able to provide photographs that will help show the top-level competition and the beauty of Deeridge Farms.”
Russell, who has worked as a professional photographer for the last 16 years, has photographed many of the nation’s top equestrian competitions, adding a more artistic quality to traditional event photography. Her passion and determination took her from a young, horse crazy child to an equestrian, a professional braider, and then to a professional equine photographer. Her photographs have truly natural, intimate, and magical qualities to them.
“We are so pleased to have Kathy as our official photographer,” said Lou Jacobs, event co-founder along with siblings Charlie Jacobs and Katie Robinson. “Her background in our sport is extensive, and her keen eye for detail makes her photographs truly unique, as she captures intimate relationships between horse and rider.”
Originally from Canada, Russell now calls Fort Lauderdale, FL home, but she travels all over the country, especially to Wellington, FL, where many of her clients spend the winter. She utilizes her unique equestrian experience to capture relationships between not only horse and rider, but also between equines, dogs and even some exotic animals.
Russell’s photographs will be on display at the Kathy Russell Photography booth in the boutique vendor area, which is open to the public.
