Final event of 2019 Palm Beach Masters Series® features $50,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby. Entries close Feb. 20, 2019.
The 2019 Palm Beach Masters Series® concludes with the third annual Deeridge Derby, which puts the spotlight on the nation’s most elegant and exceptional hunters.
Entries have officially opened, with registration available on Palmbeachmasters.com. New for 2019, registration is completely digital through the Palm Beach Masters Series®’ custom entry system. Competitors will fill in their information and select their desired classes to complete their entries.
Entries close Feb. 20, 2019. Please note: Entries are subject to approval, and competitors will be notified of their acceptance via email.
Highlighting the 2019 program is the $50,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby, won in 2018 by Brad Wolf’s Private Practice and Victoria Colvin, who went on to capture the 2018 USHJA International Hunter Derby Championships. The 2019 USHJA International Hunter Derby at Deeridge Farms will take place across two days, with the first round getting underway on the Grass Arena on Saturday, March 2, and the final round taking place Sunday, March 3.
New to the 2019 Deeridge Derby program is the USHJA Green Hunter Incentive. Green Incentive Stakes for 3’-3’3”, 3’6”, and 3’9” horses will take place on Friday, March 1. Also included in the program are the $5,000 USHJA National Hunter Derby and the $5,000 USHJA Junior/Amateur Derby. Both events will be featured in the Grass Arena.
The 2019 Deeridge Derby kicks off with show jumping competition. On Wednesday, Feb. 27, and Thursday, Feb. 28, the Sand Arena will feature young jumper divisions for 5-, 6-, and 7-year-olds.
