The 2019 Palm Beach Masters Series® concludes with the third annual Deeridge Derby, which puts the spotlight on the nation’s most elegant and exceptional hunters, along with young jumpers.
Entries for the 2019 Deeridge Derby have been extended. Entries now close Tuesday, Feb. 26.
Registration is available at Palmbeachmasters.com. New for 2019, registration is completely digital through the Palm Beach Masters Series®’ custom entry system. Competitors will fill in their information and select their desired classes to complete their entries.
The Green Incentive is also new to the program for 2019. Green Incentive Stake classes for 3′-3′”, 3’6″, and 3’9″ divisions will be at the forefront of the competition in the Grass Ring on Saturday, March 2.
The aim of the Green Incentive program is to encourage the development of green horses. Led by the USHJA International Hunter Derby & Incentive Task Force, the program is designed to produce the next top show hunter—perhaps a future winner of the Deeridge Derby’s feature event, the $50,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby.
The 2019 USHJA International Hunter Derby at Deeridge Farms will take place across two days, with the first round getting underway in the Grass Ring on Saturday, March 2, and the final round taking place Sunday, March 3. Last year’s winners, Brad Wolf’s Private Practice and Victoria Colvin, went on to capture the 2018 USHJA International Hunter Derby Championships.
Also featured in the 2019 Deeridge Derby program are the $5,000 USHJA National Hunter Derby and the $5,000 USHJA Junior/Amateur Derby. The first two days of competition feature elite young show jumping talent, with classes for 5-, 6-, and 7-year-old young jumpers on offer Wednesday, Feb. 27, and Thursday, Feb. 28.
